Men’s ankle boots with elastic gores and Cuban heels became known as Chelsea or Beatles boots in 1964, but that same year there were more than just boots inspired by the Beatles:
- Beatles wigs were sold in huge quantities in anticipation of the Beatles’ appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964.
- Nylon stockings with a Beatles design
- Wing Dings – sneakers printed with the Fab Four
- The print was available in yardage for those who preferred to sew their own,at a cost equivalent today of about U.S. $10.00 per yard.
- The dresses were available in blue, pink, green, and yellow.
- Three different styles of shift dresses with Beatle prints made by a dress factory in Holland.
