As Seen In – Trudeaumania dress, spring 1968

The Trudeau fabric was made up into dresses, ponchos, and even pillows so you could sleep with Trudeau’s face next to yours!

Continuing with the patriotic theme this Canada Day weekend… this cotton shift dress with a screen print of Pierre Trudeau was made during the spring of 1968, when Trudeaumania was raging in Canada. The media adopted the term to capture the enthusiastic support Trudeau was receiving from the youngest voting demographic (especially women) during the Liberal leadership race and subsequent Federal election in June 1968.
